Four Businesses Receive $40,000 In Grants from Bucks Built Startup Fund

Funded by Penn Community Bank and administered by Startup Bucks in partnership with the Bucks County Industrial Development Authority, the Bucks Built Startup Fund is pleased to award $40,000 in grants to four promising businesses this Fall. 

The four businesses that received $10,000 in Grants from the Penn Community Bank span various industries and have founders or teams already based or operating in Bucks County:

  • Pink Clover Data Solutions - Pink Clover transforms data into the answers Essential Service Providers need to make informed decisions and improve the safety and security of their citizens.

  • Estate’ 98 - Effortlessly craft any coffee beverage in seconds, utilizing only a single tablespoon of Estate '98's ultra-concentrated specialty coffee.

  • WerkWeek - On demand healthcare staffing platform for support personnel.

  • Athletes Untapped - Sports tech startup connecting parents & young athletes with vetted private sports coaches for 1-on-1 training.

Winners were announced in Bucks Built Fall Business Expo held on October 19th, at Bucks County Community College, Newtown. Startup Bucks in partnership with Bucks County Industrial Development Authority and Penn Community Bank is proud to have hosted this expo which brought together amazing entrepreneurs, investors, and supporters from the community. 

This incredible event also showcased thriving startups, small businesses from Bucks County and their amazing products and services. 

Originally screened from over 50 applicants, 8 finalists pitched to a screening panel of investors, entrepreneurs, and community leaders who evaluated the businesses on a number of factors, including the potential to grow quickly and broadly while having a positive economic impact in the County.

We understand that a thriving local business community means economic success for individuals, families, and the region for years to come,” said Jeane M. Vidoni, Penn Community Bank president and CEO.

With this round's funding Penn Community Bank has now enabled 15 businesses to have a total of $90,000 in grants since 2022. Recipients from the past have all provided a novel solution to a problem they are passionate about, covering a diverse range of industries: like Health Tech, AI & Data Analytics, Technology, Content creation, Food, and Medtech.    

Since its inception in 2019, Bucks Built Startup fund has deployed $500,000 in investment from the Bucks County IDA in 20 high potential, innovative startups. Bucks Built Startups have since grown to raise over $15 million in combined follow-on funding and have created dozens of new jobs.
